Invisalign® in NYC – Upper West Side

Barbara Cherches, DDS provides expert Invisalign® treatment on the Upper West Side of Manhattan. We invite you to call our office today at 212-877-5577 to learn more and schedule your appointment.

Invisalign® takes a modern approach to straightening teeth, using a custom-made series o aligners created for you and only you. These aligner trays are made of smooth, comfortable and virtually invisible plastic that you wear over your teeth. Wearing the aligners will gradually and gently shift your teeth into place, based on the exact movements your dentist or orthodontist plans out for you. There are no metal brackets to attach and no wires to tighten. You just pop in a new set of aligners approximately every two weeks, until your treatment is complete. You’ll achieve a great smile with little interference in your daily life. The best part about the whole process is that most people won’t even know you’re straightening your teeth.

Invisalign FAQ:

What is Invisalign?

Invisalign uses a series of custom-made, removable, comfortable, and invisible aligners to gradually and gently move teeth to a corrected position.  The aligners are made using 3-D computer imaging technology.

How does Invisalign work?

Each set of aligners is worn between 1-2 weeks for approximately 22 hours/day, removing them only for eating, drinking, brushing and flossing. As each new set of aligners is replaced, the teeth will move gradually into the new position that Dr. Cherches has prescribed.

How often are appointments?

Appointments are generally every 4-6 weeks, to evaluate progress and ensure that treatment is progressing well.

What are the advantages of Invisalign?

Aligners are not only more esthetic, but because they are removable, there are no limitations on what you can eat or drink.

Brushing and flossing are easy, office visits are shorter, and there are no emergency appointments.

They are comfortable as they have no wires, metal or brackets to cause mouth abrasions.
